Jason, in “With Thoughts of Jason”, had never been great at making the best decisions. He began smoking cigarettes, then marijuana, dabbled in witchcraft, shifted to be what he perceived normal, and starved himself to loose weight rather than get some exercise.
When these things work, helping him grow socially, he believes these were all the right decisions. He pays little to no mind the severed relationship with his family and the terrifying realities that are rushing his way. It has been a daunting course drawing from a religious mother blind folded by the preacher and leaving him homeless. Circumstances and friendships build to reveal relationships and yet flawed trust. Relying on his tainted friends he begins to unravel who he truly is. When they remove their support, he could only depend on the tragic ending to this daunting novel. Left with what he feels is a world devoid of all human connection he lay in his blood waiting for the ambulance or death to greet him ever so finally.
Caleb A. Mertz, 24, has written “With Thoughts of Jason” and “The Silhouetted Leaves”. He is currently working on his next work relating to a twisted view of the end times. A “writer with a fresh distinct voice,” (Hamdhoon Rashad, Bookpleasures.com) Mertz is always searching for new innovative ways to write about some of the most intriguing topics. He writes for Examiner.com, has a blog on Wordpress, and is active on About.com’s Fiction Writing page.
